It's as creative and surprising as anything Valve would make themselves. Xen feels truly alien, and fully integrated with the greater Half-Life mythos. Using the long jump module to fly around lush alien rainforests and through Vortigaunt labor camps is thrilling, tragic, and awe-inspiring. It's a goddamn nightmare, and that's all before getting to Xen, a total reimagining of Half-Life's worst bits. The early chapters of Black Mesa actually feel like the world-rending, panicked disaster the low-poly original was gunning for. Built in Source, Half-Life 2's familiar physics make for more complex puzzles and explosive combat at a much larger scale. What started as a mod homage to the original game blossomed (very slowly) over 15 years into a full blown reinterpretation. ![]() Half-Life: Alyx's level designer only played around five hours of the original Half-Life before dropping it for fan remake Black Mesa instead. The men and women you travel with are as rough and rugged as they come, but they have a genuine love for one another that transcends the rote camaraderie of most shooters, and one of the game's most memorable moments isn't an action sequence (although there are plenty of those) but a mournful, introspective wedding song about the loss of innocence during a time of war.Ģ033 and Last Light are smaller and much more linear than Exodus, but their portrayals of a slow, stoic struggle to survive in a genuinely awful wasteland are still well worth playing too. But what really makes it work is its heart. ![]() It's still the same shooter at its core, though, with horrific enemies, boisterous comrades, loud, crappy guns, and the best Eastern European post-apocalypse this side of Stalker. Metro Exodus trades the claustrophobic Moscow subway tunnels of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light for a mix of open and linear environments across an unexpectedly lush, living Russia. However, this is the exact reason why we feel the challenge in this field is worth it.Īs you might recall, Konami has chosen to switch engine for PES 2022, moving to Epic's Unreal. Therefore, the ‘virtual deception’ is much harder. Users know what the players look like, they’ve seen the enthusiastic supporters, and they’ve felt the atmosphere of the stadium. We believe that ‘photorealism’ will be completed by adding various ‘elements’ to impress users. In my opinion, it’s about recreating the real world itself, The general definition would be reproducing a live-action expression, however, that alone can lead to an inorganic and imperfect world. This includes atmosphere of the stadium and the enthusiastic supporters, the players’ passionate facial expressions, the texture of the skin and hair, and detailed movement of their muscles and sweat. ![]() This is because the ‘photorealism’ we aim for is exactly the reproduction of the real world itself. However, no matter how good the performance of PS5 is, there are various restrictions, and therefore, I think it is an extremely difficult road to reach ‘the next level’. The performance of PS5 is incredible, and while benefiting from it, we have faced many challenges and feel that we are steadily approaching ‘the next level’ step. Not to mention being able to play games in photorealism… I think it is important to be able to experience the excitement and sense of accomplishment that football has, in the game. But Konami has at least clearly mentioned that the post-launch modes will be paid.Konami's Seitaro Kimura, producer on the eFootball PES series, commented on the PS5's 'incredibile' performance and the photorealism goal that the development team is pursuing for PES 2022 in an interview published on PLAY magazine ( issue #2). ![]() And the same is the situation with the pricing. It means, if you have a PS5, and your friend has PS4, then also you two will be able to play with each other. On the side, you will be having the option of cross-generation support. It isn’t sure after how many days from the launch this feature will be added, but it is confirmed that it is coming. The cross-play feature will be added to the game after an unspecified period of the launch. However, we don’t have any official confirmation on it, neither do we have any release date. We even have news that the developers are planning to launch on iOS and Android versions of the game. Other teams will be added later in the game. ![]() Since it’s so laggggg noT_T At the mean time, I should explore China Sudden Attack *^^* huhu~~~~ Whoever is taking part in the coming SeaSA tournament. I should take a break from NASA for at least 1 month before I go back. And do not ask me to do the 8 headshots in my video for you to see, who do you think you are ^^? Should I care about you whether you believe or not? No. I know the name SummerAsh is very widely used now in both NASA and also SeaSA, but the last thing I want to see is some smartass pretending they know who I am, or what my play style is, or what gun I usually use, whether I crouch or not when I shoot. The game allows players to pick between two factions and participate in a variety of game modes. Is it because Nexon has made NASA available to other region? Hm… I’ve registered 3 account for NASA just in case in the future they decided to ban other region from playing NASA again (which I secretly hope they do). Sudden Attack is a free-to-play MMOFPS from GameHi and Nexon. Read my previous blog post on the latest feature and events for Nexon NASA Sudden Attack- Īnyway, I’ve been trying the game out for a few nights, it was very lag, I can barely make the kill when I shoot, it’s still 4 ping, but it feels like the lag is worst that when NASA is still under gamehi. Last week I experienced trouble logging into NASA, I panicked! Did they finally figured out that my ID was registered in the states but I am actually logging in from Malaysia? T_T Turns out, GameHi was recently bought over by Nexon, they made a few changes. Not that I despise SeaSA players, they just talk too much and too into taunting rather than focusing on the game. The reason I enjoy NASA is because I can play with different player, rather than just seaSA player. I’ve been trying out Nexon Sudden Attack – North America region Sudden Attack. ![]() In any case, Ezio travels to Rome determined to take his revenge against Cesare. Cesare Borgia – Rodrigo Borgia's son – is ticked off, and mounts a full scale attack on the assassins. Ubisoft Montreal has stressed that Brotherhood has a number of innovations and evolutions designed to keep the experience fresh, and we can certainly tell you that there's easily as much content here as in Assassin's Creed II, but will it be enough to really help this title distinguish itself from last year's stellar outing? Already inspired by Hank Williams and Woody Guthrie, Dylan began listening to blues while at college, and the genre wove its way into his music. While at college, he began performing folk songs at coffee houses under the name Bob Dylan, taking his last name from the poet Dylan Thomas. And that's just the tip of his achievements.ĭylan's force was evident enough during his height of popularity in the '60s - the Beatles' shift toward introspective songwriting in the mid-'60s never would have happened without him - but his influence echoed throughout several subsequent generations, as many of his songs became popular standards and his best albums became undisputed classics of the rock & roll canon. As a musician, he sparked several genres of pop music, including electrified folk-rock and country-rock. As a vocalist, he broke down the notion that a singer must have a conventionally good voice in order to perform, thereby redefining the vocalist's role in popular music. As a songwriter, he pioneered several different schools of pop songwriting, from confessional singer/songwriter to winding, hallucinatory, stream-of-consciousness narratives. ![]() The passage reveals the profound suffering of Nietzsche himself who, led by cognitive research, comes to the realization of the lack of meaning: the death of God, of which he himself is the murderer. Men have killed God, but are not aware of it. It is then that he realizes that his proclamation has reached man too soon (“the time has not yet come”, the “immense event is still on the way and is going astray”). Utterring these terrible words, the mad man, seeing the astonished looks of those present, takes his lantern and throws it to the ground, smashing it. who will take away this blood? With what water can we wash ourselves? What expiation ceremonies, what holy scenes should we invent? Isn’t the immensity of this deed too great for us? Do we have to make ourselves gods, if only to appear worthy? God is dead! God is dead and we have killed him! H ow can we console ourselves, we the murderers of all murderers? What the world had that was the holiest and the greatest has bled to death under our knives. The mad man replies solemnly affirming that God is dead, assassinated by the hand of man: Among them, one asks the mad man if God is lost or if, out of fear, is hiding. In aphorism 125 of the Gaia Science, Friedrich Nietzsche tells of a mad man that, lighting a lantern in the light of the morning, runs to the market shouting loudly: “I’m looking for God! I’m looking for God!” Other men who do not believe in God listen to him amusedly. No one watches over her… she is enveloped by the darkness of night… the darkness and emptiness of nothingness. He definitely knows more than anyone else.” And while she burns, the squire of the knight (capital figure, as Block) looking at her says: “Nothingness engulfs her and watches over her. God, you exist somewhere, you certainly must exist!” And, again, facing a young woman condemned to the stake: “I want to meet the devil, I want to talk to him about God. ![]() It is like loving someone who is out there in the dark and doesn’t show himself/herself despite being called. The knight, before dying, wants the physical surety of the existence of God, thus breaking the silence: “Faith – he says – is such a painful punishment. In short, it portrays the tortuous but necessary way of free research for beyond every historic barrier (political?) between belief and non belief. The time that Block gains will be used to carry out a useful action, after a lifetime (“a void without reason”) that he sees wasted in smallness, like – he says – that of everybody.īut why is this film one in body with the Courtyard of the Gentiles? Why does the Seventh Seal portray the ground of believing and thinking, between nothingness, hope and its negation. The knight wants to discover this: the meaning of his existence and, for this, asks to postpone death by challenging it to the game. The Seventh Seal, in the Apocolypse of Saint John is broken by the lamb of God, making it possible to read the book of life. So this initiates a game wanted by the knight to find out if, by beating death at the game, his life would be saved.Ī detail of no small matter: Von Sidow appears in the film with his face shaped by the shadows, reminiscent of those ancient Nordic figures carved in wood, to evoke a substance or the abstraction of a concept. ![]() When it comes forward to wrap him in its black robe, Block manages to convince it to wait, challenging it to game of chess. The knight Antonius Block, magnificently played by Max Von Sidow, returning home from the crusades meets Death itself. Europe is distraught by the plague and fanaticism has prevailed over religion. The story takes place in the XIV century. ![]() I am referring to the Seventh Seal ( Det Sjunde inseglet) of Ingmar Bergman, produced a good sixty years ago. One in particular coincides with the essence of the Courtyard of the Gentiles. Films, writes Fernand Braudel, are agents of history. |
